Asian Metal visits Shaanxi Tianyu

On the afternoon of 22 December of 2021, Mr. Hao Zhao, Sales Director and Ms. Daphne Zhang, Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited Shaanxi Tianyu Magnesium Group Co., Ltd. and were warmly greeted by the company. Daphne Zhang and Hao Zhao held in-depth discussion with Mr. Genyong Chen, the General Manager of the company, regarding the current challenge and crisis for magnesium industry. Mr. Chen stated that nearly 90% of local magnesium producers use round iron furnace as the equipment, which features with sufficient gas output and relatively small volume of semi-coke, to supply gas for magnesium production. However, once such equipment could not meet the standards of safety, environmental protection, and energy-saving, the supply to global magnesium supply will face great challenge. Once the production capacity policy on coal, namely 100,000t for single furnace and 1,000,000t for one plant, is implemented, the magnesium industry in Fugu will face survival challenges.
